For over a decade we vacationed on the Gulf Coast, wishing we could, one day, make the area our home. In 2019 we made that dream come true... Our Tropical Island Dream.

We may have a few years before the kids are off to college but we're one step closer to that retirement dream.

We have endeavored to include all the things we looked for when selecting a rental, to make a stay as comfortable, convenient, and as restful as possible.

What's New for 2021/22

We strive to keep the experience fresh for our guests - Exterior updates will be complete by the start of the 2021/22 season - We have refreshed the exterior color to a more modern blue-gray and replaced the dated terracotta barrel tile roof... if you are returning guest you may drive by the house by mistake. A few interim photos are included here with more as the projects wrap up, with professional shots to follow. 

We have also replaced the outdoor dining set and grill, added heavy-duty all-weather Adirondacks to the dock, refreshed the outdoor seating, and upgraded the den for those who need to work while they are away from home (like myself). Finally, we have added Google/Nest Assistance in most rooms in the home, which allows guests to voice control many features of the house, should you choose, as well as play music, your favorite podcast, get news headlines, or other content almost everywhere (the voice assistant may also be disabled if you prefer).

As we look forward to the summer of 2022, we plan to update the Primary Suite with new flooring and vanities... Exciting times as we approach the completion of our 3-year plan.
